Planet Zoo, the spiritual successor to Zoo Tycoon is developed by Frontier Developments in 2019. Since the launch release, Frontier has released countless number of new animal packs from critically endangered species that even the games guru had no knowledge about. The latest SimWorld Zoos series, “Telling the Untold Story: Showcasing the Critically Endangered to the Vulnerable,” delves deeply into the lives of Earth’s most imperiled creatures, dedicating every one to two episodes to a single species classified as critically endangered, endangered, or vulnerable. With over fifty installments slated to carry viewers through the 2025 calendar year, the series combines immersive gameplay footage with expert insights—featuring interviews with leading conservation specialists and photojournalists, as well as secured documentary highlights—to educate and inspire action. And because conservation is an ongoing journey, every few episodes the series revisits previously showcased animals in SimWorld Zoos’ gameplay edition, bringing you the latest updates on their IUCN listings and sharing both hopeful improvements and heartbreaking setbacks.
