Over this last broadcast week, Nathaniel had been missing in action from the broadcast circuit on SimWorld GameVision—this represented up concerns within the Team SimWorld and even colleagues at WIBW. Mental health affects us all, no one is immune to the affects of stress, anxiety and depression. As for me the games guru of SimWorld, lately I have been having high anxiety issues mixed with medium levels of depression; the cause for it all as I stand behind WIBW’s Hear Me See Me campaign is that I am a workaholic. Most of the time I never get the recognition for the hard work you see on-air with WIBW or even with SimWorld; however I consider myself to be a perfectionist.
This past week the stress of being a perfectionist just hit me hard, harder than it usually does when I am working on multiple projects. While it did affect my work for SimWorld, I made sure to not let it affect me at WIBW. My anxiety of wanting to make sure things run right, or production work looks and sounds excellent is my problem, and when any of the three is off it does upset me. As for the depression symptoms, the lack of recognition for being on-air with SimWorld over ten years builds on me. Adding to the fact I have lost so much of my family and we are also still in trouble that I never share on-air.
Because of the absence this last week missing multiple days of broadcasting in a row for SimWorld, I had put in some vacation time at the station to give you two extra broadcasts this weekend when I would normally be off the air; in addition to my absence both in the broadcast circuit and throughout the Neighborhood I will be repeating all of Week 6’s programming again starting on Friday, April 18th. To me I am just hoping this is a short-term funk that I am in and return to being more energetic and happier to be around both on camera and in the halls of the station. Thank You to all those that were concerned about my presence and checking on me.
During our recent Team SimWorld staff meetup in Wichita last month, we are excited to announce that SimWorld has partnered with Throne, a dynamic organization renowned for enhancing the gaming community experience through innovative product collaborations and partnerships with top-tier gaming brands. Throne is dedicated to curating and providing high-quality gaming merchandise and exclusive offers, serving a diverse network of passionate gamers and industry influencers. As part of this partnership, Nathaniel will be selectively adding only those items to our wish list that he deems truly essential, ensuring that every entry has a meaningful purpose. Simmers visiting the wish list now have the option to directly purchase items for Nathaniel, or contribute the full amount required for him to place orders on his behalf. Additionally, for crowdfunded items that may be too costly for any individual to purchase alone, a communal funding pool is available to help rally the necessary resources.

TOPEKA – Every year during the first week of March, the governor of Kansas signs a proclamation declaring it to be “Severe Weather Awareness Week.” During this time, media partners take the opportunity to educate their viewers and listeners on the potential dangers of flash flooding, lightning strikes, tornadoes, and fire hazards. Local municipal governments, along with the National Weather Service offices in Springfield, Pleasant Hill, Topeka, Hastings, Wichita, Dodge City, and Goodland, issue statewide tornado warnings, activate weather radios, utilize the emergency alert system for cell phones, and sound outdoor warning sirens. Furthermore, the National Weather Service offices provide presentations in each county within their service area, highlighting various types of severe weather, cloud formations, and advancements in dual-polarization doppler radar technology.
At SimWorld GameVision, we have developed our weather suite, SimWorld TruMax Weather. It consists of various tools, such as an in-studio lightning detection unit, a real-time weather station; these tools work in tandem with Live TruMax 3D, a powerful tool capable of providing real-time radar, visible and infrared satellite imagery, weather watches and warnings, lightning network information, as well as short-term and long-term forecast models that are used by the National Weather Service and our media partners. In addition to monitoring the SimWorld GameVision Broadcast Center with Live TruMax 3D, SimWorld also utilizes the resources of the National Hurricane Center to keep a close eye on developing tropical storms and hurricanes that may impact the United States.
On Tuesday, March 4th, 2025, SimWorld GameVision will be conducting a simulation of a severe weather alert day, as if our studio were under threat from strong to severe thunderstorms. Our programming will reflect a serious tone on-air, while still continuing with our scheduled gaming content, as if it were a real event. Nathaniel's motivation for creating and managing the SimWorld TruMax Weather suite in-studio stems from a tragic incident that occurred several years ago along the Gulf Coast. During that time, some of our Twitch colleagues were on-air when tornadoes struck the area, resulting in the loss of a few gamers’ lives. This unfortunate event highlighted the need for improved warning systems, as many individuals were engrossed in their online communities and unaware of the dangerous weather conditions surrounding them.
It is also important to know as Nathaniel mentioned on-air in the monologue of March 1st, 2025 that when he learned the devastating news on February 27th that Elon Musk, acting director of the United States Department of Government Efficiency and President Trump announced the cuts to probationary employees and directors at NOAA—National Oceanic Atmospheric and Administration this also affects those with the Storm Prediction Center, the National Hurricane Center, National Drought Mitigation Center, and multiple National Weather Service forecast offices. Nathaniel stated that with these federal cuts on the way those who provide technical experience to satellites, radars, telecommunicationary methods for the NOAA’s divisions may not be here when we need them in the time of emergent danger especially in severe weather or tropical weather season. Additionally those who use weather apps, watch local news media, The Weather Channel all get their data from the National Weather Service. When the data becomes sparser these outlets will not get timely data out in time which in turn helps emergency managers to sound warning sirens and implement evacuations as necessary. Nathaniel implored those who can whether aisle you support and whether or not you voted for President Trump to reverse and stop the federal employment termination for NOAA as American lives and property are at risk for damage as time moves forward with contacting your congressperson today.
February 17th–23rd, 2025 — As a severe winter event sweeps across the nation, residents from the heartland to the southern reaches of the East Coast should prepare for extreme conditions. Over the next several days, from Monday, February 17th through Sunday, February 23rd, the Midwest is set to experience sub-zero temperatures averaging a bone-chilling -15°F. A Suite Built for the Future
SimWorld TruMax Weather is more than a tool; it’s a partner in navigating the uncertainties of our ever-changing world. While it remains an exclusive tool for SimWorld GameVision, its primary goal is to serve and protect the SimWorld GameVision Broadcast Center. TruMax will only accompany programming as needed, ensuring that the main focus of SimWorld GameVision remains on providing simulation and strategic games. Programming adjustments will always reflect the urgency of weather conditions, utilizing resources such as KanDrive, KCScout, and WICHway alongside TruMax to make better decisions for Nathaniel and the broadcast center.
By forecasting the future with clarity and protecting today with diligence, TruMax ensures that we remain informed, prepared, and connected. Join us in embracing this new era of meteorological excellence. With SimWorld TruMax Weather, the forecast is brighter, the protection stronger, and the understanding deeper. Together, we’ll weather any storm.
SimWorld is announcing that over the next several weeks, starting today, the website will start going through a rebuilding process while remaining online. While the majority of the construction will be done behind the scenes, our current website will not be maintained with updates for those looking of broadcast episode listings, the restored vehicle gallery, or updated game modifications listing. You can still enjoy archived broadcast episode listing, the updated Google calendar schedule and live broadcasts from the Twitch network during this period.
While this is a website rebuilding process, according to the games guru Nathaniel Jackson – this will not be a major overhaul but consider it as a revised facelift. Our goal is to bring the website's information and coding up to date. While we do not have a specific timeline for completion, we anticipate that these improvements will be finalized by the start of our holiday season in late November.
If you have any questions or concerns during this transition, please feel free to reach out to Nathaniel Jackson, our Games Guru, at Nathaniel@TheSimWorld.com. You can also connect with us through Discord, or on Metaverse via Threads, Instagram, Facebook, or Messenger. Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we work to enhance your experience with SimWorld.
On the afternoon of Monday, July 8th, Nathaniel and the team from the Marysville Convention & Tourism and the Marshall County Arts Cooperative held a virtual meeting to confirm the event is a go. However, the GFS weather model showed an isolated thunderstorm over the Marysville region at about 4:00 pm CDT, as indicated in Monday night’s TruMax 3D broadcast. Updated weather information is available daily on SimWorld: Live with SimWorld GameVision, and as needed on the Metaverse event listing at https://www.facebook.com/events/1031298161754350.
During the meeting, several schedule updates were made. The Kansas Children’s Discovery Center from Topeka will bring bounce houses and lawn games for the children. Elliott Burns, a student from Kansas State University known for his distinctive voice and earnest lyrics reflecting the spirit of the Midwest, will perform at 4:00 pm. Nathaniel from SimWorld and Wayne Kruse from MCAC will introduce Logan and his band on stage at 6:30 pm. Following this, there will be a fire show featuring juggling and breathing acts between the balloon luminaries, which will be tethered due to winds, and the fireworks presentation, which has been moved from 9:30 pm to 10:00 pm. Rainbow Fireworks of Inman, Kansas, is organizing a twenty-two-minute choreographed fireworks display.
Additionally, we discussed Sunday morning activities at the airport, including hot air balloon rides, a variety of aircraft on display, and a Kiwanis Club breakfast from 5:45 to 9:30 am. For Saturday evening events, parking will be limited to handicapped individuals at the Lakeview Sports Complex. Shuttle service will be available from the Habitat Thrift Shop, Landoll Lanes bowling alley, Community Memorial Healthcare, the Landoll Company, and the Marysville Airport.
Nathaniel is coordinating with Melissa Brunner’s Eye on Northeast Kansas with WIBW-TV to promote the event on-air. He is also attempting to secure a photojournalist and reporter to cover the event for a newscast that will likely air on Saturday or Sunday.

This evening, during the monologue for SimWorld: Live on SimWorld GameVision, Nathaniel Jackson, the renowned games guru, revealed an exciting new addition to the Team SimWorld. John Young, an Emmy award-winning voiceover artist, will be joining as the new voice of SimWorld, starting June 21st, 2024.
John Young, represented by the prestigious Atlas Talent Agency, is a familiar voice to American audiences, both on television and radio. His career spans several decades and numerous states, including Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. Known for his versatile vocal styles, Young's experience and talent make him an excellent fit for SimWorld.
Young steps in following the departure of Dustin Matthias, who had replaced Susan Cole in September 2023. Matthias had signed a twelve-month contract but chose to terminate it three months early, in May 2024. During this interim period, IGNBrains, a community moderator at SimWorld, admirably filled the role to ensure continuity in voiceover work.
Nathaniel Jackson reached out to John Young after learning that KAKE-TV, a sister station to his WIBW-TV, was moving in a different direction and no longer required Young's services. Jackson expressed his enthusiasm for Young's addition to the team during tonight’s monologue, stating, “I hope John Young will stay around for several years to help keep SimWorld’s branding concrete and avoid confusing our Simmers with frequent changes in voiceover talent.”
John Young's debut as the voice of SimWorld will begin airing after this weekend. Our SimWorld team is confident that his seasoned expertise will enhance the viewing experience and bring a new level of excellence to the program.
