SimWorld, a virtual haven for gaming enthusiasts, traces its origins back to 2009 when it emerged as a community centered around The Sims computer game. SimWorld found a new home in the dynamic landscapes of Minecraft, captivating audiences with its unique blend of simulation, storytelling, and community engagement. Since then, SimWorld has become a thriving hub where gamers converge to share their imaginative pursuits, shaping and redefining virtual worlds across different gaming platforms. The journey from The Sims in 2009 to Minecraft on Twitch and YouTube in 2013 has not only reflected the evolution of gaming preferences but also showcased SimWorld's adaptability and commitment to creating immersive digital experiences for its dedicated community.
SimWorld: Live, seen on SimWorld GameVision airs five days a week Fridays to Tuesdays with programming starting at 7:00 pm Eastern. Each of the broadcasts run on average 4½ to 6 hours in length and is hosted by the games guru. In most cases there is a ten-minute break included with network and local advertisement spots every two hours. Network advertisements are important for SimWorld to run as it provides revenue to the network and SimWorld. These network advertisements are seen every half hour for three minutes starting fifteen minutes of starting the broadcast. You can of course support the channel by subscribing, this will stop you from seeing advertisements or you can pick-up Twitch Turbo.
SimWorld’s neighborhood on Discord, and here on SimWorld GameVision, is a community that upholds a professional atmosphere. We provide a respite from discussions pertaining to current events and politics, unless explicitly mentioned on-air by Nathaniel regarding a specific subject. SimWorld is a secure environment that embraces individuals with Asperger’s Syndrome, Autism, and the LGBTQ community. Any form of negative conduct will be met with appropriate consequences. Our penalty system operates on a three-strike basis, with the first two strikes resulting in timeouts of fifteen minutes and twenty-four hours, respectively, before the third strike leads to an annual block. Once a year, during the State of the SimWorld address, we observe a forgiveness day where all previously blocked individuals are granted release. However, if the same behavior resurfaces after forgiveness day, this individual will face a lifetime ban.
Now the common-sense chat rules, SimWorld is an English only spoken broadcast channel; your guru asks that all conversations stay in this language. Discrimination attacks or bullying on the LGBTQIA community members, or those with Asperger’s / Autism will result in a penalty. Nathaniel allows the use of constructive feedback, but please no backseat gaming. Do not ever attempt to argue with a member of Team SimWorld or the guru as this will end in a penalty.
